Estela Costa Baptista was born in 1975 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, School of Art and Design (ESAD) of Caldas da Rainha, in 2000. He was, of course, illustration of the Center for Children and technical image narratives (CITEN), Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 2001.
He was an assistant Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, between 1999 and 2003, especially in developing courses and studio recording in Tavira.
In 2000, he represented Portugal at the International Exhibition of Illustrators "Figures Futur 2000. In the same year, was the author of the engraving commemorating the 10. Anniversary of the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV), presented at the International Seminar SOPHIA in Lisbon in 2000.
Worked until 2004 at the Museum of José Malhoa, in Caldas da Rainha, in the field of Cultural Animation, where he developed various activities, especially for children. Did all the illustration of the Roadmap and the Youth Museum of cooperating in the "General road map of it in the chapter on Watercolour, both published in 2005. He also organized exhibitions and cultural events of various kinds.
Engraving published in "A rose always at Mensagem é", a verse of Natércia Freire, in "The Book of Natércia", a posthumous tribute to the poet by dozens of poets and visual artists to select and edit Alexandre Nave, José Felix Duque and Pedro Sena-Lino, foreword by His Excellency the President Dr. Jorge Sampaio and postscript of Natália Correia and José Osório de Oliveira (Quasi Editions, 2005). Ilustrou the cover of the book "Songs for my children dead" José Félix Duque (Cosmorama Editions, 2005).
In 2007, conducted by the Center for Portuguese screen (PSC) to record "a lua da solidão." The recently published book "A story that WILL party" (editor Trinta by uma linha) and Freyja (editor 7 days 6 nights) with his illustrations. He is currently collaborating Companhia do Eu, led by the poet Pedro Sena-Lino.
